Here2Grow is celebrating its 10-year anniversary milestone this year. From its small, 2011 beginnings, it has since grown into a leading contract formulation specialist offering development, analytical testing, product insights, innovation management and regulatory services to the personal care, cosmetics and household sectors in the rapidly growing natural and organic markets.
Founded in Southern France as a niche consultancy, Here2Grow began providing international businesses with expert research and insights on new trends in product development, specifically laundry and dish wash categories. A relocation to the UK followed, where the company opened its first R&D laboratory in Huddersfield. Their widening remit saw the business assisting clients with innovative ideation, development and manufacturing of products across multiple categories, resulting in an increase in its turnover by 70%.
Investment in a compliance department, together with increased marketing strategies saw the business move into a new, state-of-the-art purpose built laboratory at Selby. The move enabling the company to provide better R&D services and further expand its client portfolio to include top global FMCG companies such as Unilever, McBride, Church & Dwight, iRobot and Tennant.
Commenting on the 10-year milestone, Here2Grow’s co-founders, Dr Henry and Vinetta Brew, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to our staff, customers and suppliers for being a part of our 10-year journey. It’s been fun, challenging and exciting to start a business from scratch and see it develop into something amazing.”
Looking to the future, Here2Grow has plans for expansion into other countries, but is currently concentrating on augmenting its UK offering and further delighting their clients with advanced formulation services – their client, Pro-Moi, was recently shortlisted by the Pure Beauty Global Awards 2021 in the ‘best new eye product’ category for their hypoallergenic eyeliner, developed by Here2Grow’s R&D team.
Dr Brew concluded: “We will keep investing time and energy in developing our business and, by continuing to offer a top-end service to our clients, will aspire to be at the forefront of the product formulation industry.”
