Leading contract formulation specialist, Here2Grow, has expanded its team with the addition of two new employees, Siri Ibenegbu and Sophia Boyadjieva, who both join the business as R&D chemists. The appointments are in line with Here2Grow’s growth strategy aspirations, as well as to complement a fast-growing portfolio that includes some of the top global FMCG companies (Unilever, Clorox, iRobot, Genomatica and Tennant), as well as boutique organisations that wish to work in niche areas.
Siri previously worked as a lab technician for Meiyume, formulating well-known international skincare, haircare, colour and fragrance cosmetic brands, and Sophia, who recently completed her PhD in Chemistry at the University of Glasgow, has worked on aerosol technologies and product development at Unilever. Each have varied responsibilities at Here2Grow that include physical product testing, formulation development support, ingredient testing and validation, researching and sourcing ingredients, product sample preparation and consumer trials.
“Both Siri and Sophia bring a wealth of experience to the new roles,” commented Dr Henry Brew, Here2Grow’s CEO. “Siri has extensive experience, having worked at an international level developing high end and household beauty products. She understands the sensory attributes of natural ingredients and has an excellent understanding of how to create personal care products, as well as bringing a genuine passion to our business.
“Sophia’s post-doctoral experience is a great addition to the Here2Grow team. She provides excellent analytical testing support and leads product design for our homecare department, in addition to supporting the development of new green technologies for our major corporate partners.”
The company, which recently won Cosmetics Development Specialist of the Year – UK, in the Innovation & Excellence Awards run by Corporate LiveWire, provide bespoke formulation services, ensuring that clients can get the best market positioning to optimise their product development aspirations. The company assists with innovative ideation, development and manufacturing of products and has a growing portfolio in personal care, home care, detergents, dish wash technology and green technologies.
